What’s it all about?

A continuing series on Cross Cultural Worker Care in collaboration with the entire team.
Engage in an active discussion on the question of whose role it is to care for Cross Cultural Workers pre-field, on-field and post-field. Is it the sending church's role? The sending Mission Organization’s role? The cross-cultural worker (CCW) themselves? How can we effectively coordinate care between all parties? Learn about the tremendous need for supporting CCWs and their families in the transition from the field to ‘home’.

Receive practical informative “how to’s” for effectively supporting your CCWs.

CCW care is too difficult to provide fully, capably and completely by one organization. Partnering the church with Sending and Training organizations across Canada meets that need.

Open to:

Church mission team members; mission organization personnel (HR, Exec. Directors, Care); church personnel seeking to help in mobilizing missionary care; CCW’s family members; Cross-Cultural Workers; Missionary Kids/Third Culture Kids.

Date:

Saturday, February 25, 2017 8am-4pm

Rexdale Alliance Church
2459 Islington Ave.

Who’s invited?

You care deeply about workers mobilizing into a cross-cultural assignment. Yet you wonder how they will make it and who will support them through the difficult terrain!

You’re part of a sending church missions team and desire to see your cross cultural workers (CCW) thrive not just survive.

Your role in the Canadian missions office is to provide care and support for CCWs who are mobilizing, while they are on the field, and as they return. The load is too big for you alone. To accomplish all of what’s needed, you’d need a team of 20! How will you accomplish this?

You’re wondering about your calling to a cross cultural assignment and whether you’ll make it in a foreign land with strange culture, food and people. You wonder what support infrastructure is needed.

You wonder who will champion you in your home church after you’ve mobilized?! Who will stand in the gap for you?
